The tricopigmentation technique requires some special care before and after the treatment.
Below you will find all the necessary information regarding pre and post treatment care. Technicians should always ask their client to comply with these instructions because this is the only way to get the best result in the shortest possible time.
Pre-care for hair system users
The following instructions are for users of a hairpiece / wig. Although the quality of hairpieces is very good nowadays as they allow for good skin transpiration it still has to be taken into account that this skin can flake off or be excessively traumatised. Therefore we advise treatment of the skin prior to scalp micropigmentation.
Please advise your client to speak with their dermatologist in order to get their skin ready for tricopigmentation.
In general the following recommendations apply:
- Do not fix the prosthesis with glue during a month.
- As the client wants to keep having the hairpiece during this period, they can have it on during the day according to the indications and take it off at night.
- When the hairpiece is not worn, a pharmacological treatment recommended by your doctor should be applied. This treatment often involves an ointment with 1% cortisone content.
After a month of following these guidelines the skin will have regenerated and we can treat the area with Tricopigmentation.
